A collectors quality Bravo Delta scale model of the Supermarine S6B S1595. This was Reginald Mitchells final racing float plane design. It won the coveted Schneider Trophy outright in 1931, flown by Flt. Lt. J.N. Boothman on 12th September, 1931. Later that same year it captured the world absolute speed record, namely 407.5 mph, with Flt. Lt. George Stainforth in the cockpit. Measures 15 inches in length, 15 inches in width and 6 inches in height. Comes complete with presentation stand. The model is hand crafted from kiln dried mahogany, and accurately hand painted using over 35 coats of lacquer. A Bravo Delta model is a true collectors piece. Also available for this model is a tribute name plaque for the base, product code BDP048, for just 7.99.
