MiG 1.44 MFI plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The MiG 1.44 is an unarmed technology platform for Russias new 5th generation combat aircraft designed as the counterpart to the American F-22. This supersonic tactical fighter originally received the designation MiG 1.42. The prototype was built under the greatest secrecy in 1994, then it was kept under wraps for some years. It was not officially brought out until January 1999. Great manoeuvrability, powerful engines, long-range radar and advanced avionics and fly-by-wire control systems together with a large arsenal of modern guided missiles make the MiG 1.44 an outstanding and respected aircraft. It remains to be seen when it will go into production.
