A stunning Bravo Delta scale replica of the C-47 Dakota Normandy One. The American built Douglas C-47 Dakota was adapted from the DC-3 commercial airliner. It was one of the most successful aircraft ever designed, and was praised by Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower as being amongst the most important instruments of victory in WWII. The model is decorated with the black and white invasion stripes on the wings and rear fuselage. Comes complete with presentation stand. The model is hand crafted from kiln dried mahogany, and accurately hand painted using over 35 coats of lacquer. A Bravo Delta model is a true collectors piece. Also available for this model is a tribute name plaque for the base, product code BDP033, for just 7.99.
