Description:Experience loops rolls and side-slips and enjoy the thrills of aerobatics combined with nostalgia of real vintage flying from the days when cockpits were separated! During this 25 minute Chipmunk flight ''chock to chock'' with the total experience lasting at least an hour you will be given a real feel fro the old days. The de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk is a tandem two-seat single-engined trainer aircraft which was the standard primary trainer for the British military through most of the post-war years. Designed to succeed the Havilland Tiger Moth biplane trainer the last Chipmunks in military service are operated by the British historic flights. The experience starts with a pre-flight briefing during which time the flight is tailored to suit you. Equipped with a loan headset you will be ready for the take off. When airborne your instructor will give you the opportunity to handle the controls of the Chipmunk and feel the excitement of flying one of these beautiful machines. You will be shown a number of aerobatic manoeuvres among them a loop barrel roll stall turn and others. You will be awarded a Chipmunk Trial Lesson Flight certificate at the end of your experience and there will be photo opportunities for guests. This single seater daynight fighter was capable of reaching 175 mph at a range of 350 miles. 456 examples of the aircraft were ever built, and this model is a great tribute. Measures 11 inches in length, 17 inches in width and 5 inches in height. Comes complete with presentation stand. The model is hand crafted from kiln dried mahogany, and accurately hand painted using over 35 coats of lacquer. A Bravo Delta model is a true collectors piece.
