An accurate diecast model of the Tomahawk II as flown over Libya by Australian pilot Clive Caldwell. Caldwell was the most famous and successful of the Australian and New Zealand Flying Rats who operated over much of Northern Africa during WWII. Caldwell finished the war as the highest scoring Australian Ace. Never short of courage, Caldwell was once hit and set on fire by a Messerschmitt that then flew away presuming Caldwell to be finished. Caldwell not only extinguished the fire, but shot down two enemy planes on his way back to base. This stunning replica measures 9 inches in width by 8 inches in length, and features moving propeller, landing gear and a removable pilot figure. Comes on a presentation stand.
