Give your fantasies free rein as you go back in time and experience the thrill of open cockpit flying in a vintage biplane! During your visit, a briefing will be followed by your dramatic flight. Take the controls in a trial lesson under the guidance of an expert instructor and put the plane through its paces.

What's included

Briefing from a CAA licensed instructor
Allow 1 hour for your visit which will include a flight of 15-25 minutes
The length of flight, type of aircraft and type of flight depend on location

What happens on the day

When you arrive, you will be issued with any necessary protective clothing (sometimes this is a leather helmet and goggles). You will then be briefed by your instructor before the flight. If you are taking a Trial Lesson you will have the opportunity to take the controls and fly the plane.

Minimum Age: 12 (participants under 18 need parent/guardian consent)
Minimum Height: N/A
Maximum Height: 6'4” (193cms)
Maximum Weight: 18 stone (114kgs)
Fitness/medical conditions: Participants should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb in and out of the aircraft.
Weather Dependant: Yes. We advise you to call the school on the day of your booking, to check the weather is suitable for flying.
The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue.
