The Alpha Industries MA-1 jacket in sage. The first MA-1 jackets were issued sometime around 19491950 and were designed to meet the new requirements of pilots in the jet age, as leather jackets were bulky and could freeze at high altitude. The jacket is manufactured from high quality Nylon fabrics with Polyester interlinings. The interior is bright orange and the jacket can be reversed so that the orange is on the outside. This was a feature added in the 1960s to enable a pilot to make himself seen should he have escaped a crash. The garment is water repellent treated and the knit collar, cuffs and waistband are an acrylic blend for high wear resistance.

The pockets seal with magnets and zips are all made by YRK theyre the best. The hood is trimmed in leather and the faux fur can be removed.
