After a short pre-flight briefing, don a Biggles-style flying jacket before climbing into the cockpit of a vintage De Havilland Tiger Moth or 1930s Stampe SV4. The Tiger Moth is the quintessential English biplane, with the Stampe being the Belgian equivalent and all models have been lovingly restored. Feel the rush of the wind from the open cockpit and enjoy sectacular views as your pilot puts the plane through a series of exciting manoeuvres (subject to weather conditions and at the pilot's discretion). You'll also have the opportunity to take the controls yourself and discover the sensation that has made generations of flyers fall in love with these lively little planes. Back on terra firma, some venues even include a flight certificate for you to take home.

Description:Experience loops rolls and side-slips and enjoy the thrills of aerobatics combined with nostalgia of real vintage flying from the days when cockpits were separated! During this 25 minute Chipmunk flight ''chock to chock'' with the total experience lasting at least an hour you will be given a real feel fro the old days. The de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk is a tandem two-seat single-engined trainer aircraft which was the standard primary trainer for the British military through most of the post-war years. Designed to succeed the Havilland Tiger Moth biplane trainer the last Chipmunks in military service are operated by the British historic flights. The experience starts with a pre-flight briefing during which time the flight is tailored to suit you. Equipped with a loan headset you will be ready for the take off. When airborne your instructor will give you the opportunity to handle the controls of the Chipmunk and feel the excitement of flying one of these beautiful machines. You will be shown a number of aerobatic manoeuvres among them a loop barrel roll stall turn and others. You will be awarded a Chipmunk Trial Lesson Flight certificate at the end of your experience and there will be photo opportunities for guests.
