An interesting fact about Crystal: Crystal was apparently discovered by (yes, it was us again!) an Englishman by the name of George Ravenscroft in the 1600's.  By adding Lead Oxide to glass, it produced a beautifully bright effect and was soft enough to cut decorative patterns in to.  This produces a better quality of light refraction that only lead crystal can give.
